2025 - 2026 Volunteer + Partnerships Committee Chairs:

Committee Description:
The Volunteer + Partnerships Committee is the backbone of our success because without volunteers, sponsorships, and donations, we wouldn’t be able to execute our events and provide the necessary support for our PTO to thrive. We’re looking for outgoing community members who aren’t afraid to approach local businesses for their support while contributing on the below expectations, and managing our volunteer experience. Outside of staying in communication with the board and officers, the majority of your time and effort is needed between August and October, and then again in April and May.
What to expect:
Committee members are expected to support the Committee Chair, helping with but not limited to the following:
Work alongside the board in planning meetings for volunteer needs
Own relationship with sponsors and keep engagement yearound
share the impact of their donations
invite them to attend our community events
Pursue donations from local businesses for use throughout the year
obtain gift cards and/or product donations
seek out businesses who will donate their time for vendor approved events
Actively seek community volunteers and organize them for our events,
manage their start/end time
check in with volunteers during shift, offer water
follow up engagement (thank yous and post event debrief form)
Write thank you notes to employer matching donors

Committee Description:
The HVE Staff Appreciation Committee is where we get to sprinkle a little extra joy on the amazing staff at Highview Elementary. This committee is all about showing our teachers, staff, and school heroes just how much they mean to us, and we do that by organizing fun and thoughtful monthly events. Whether it's setting up a colorful coffee bar, delivering sweet treats or writing heartfelt notes, we aim to create memorable moments that let our educators know they are valued. If you've got a passion for spreading positivity, a little creativity to spare, and a willingness to lend a hand, we'd love to have you join our committee.
What to expect:
Committee members are expected to help plan and execute at least four events throughout the school year. We like to keep it fun and flexible! Your involvement might include:
Idea generation and planning
Event setup
Shopping for supplies
Helping with decorations
Helping with communication to get everyone excited
2025 - 2026 Teacher Help Days Chair:

Committee Description:
The Teacher Help Days Committee is where we provide relief to our teachers and staff by assisting them with their classroom projects. As committee members we help facilitate project needs, ensure we have an adequate number of volunteers, and coordinate additional needs with the school and/or PTO.
What to expect:
Committee members are expected to attend the scheduled Teacher Help Days throughout the school year. Your involvement might include:
Completing projects as requested by staff, such as:
Cutting shapes and/or laminated projects
Setting up a bulletin board
Putting together booklets
Stapling
Organizing other projects and/or paperwork
